Shopping!
Today was the best day ever! You know why? I got to go SHOPPING! Well for my niece more than me but it was a great experience because I haven't done it in so long. I bought my niece the cutest khaki outfit from the GAP with a suede fringe bag (adorable!), a Vtech Laptop, a dress up play shoes (so she won't wear mine anymore, lol). I was doing well until I passed Aldo, they had a pair of black patent leather cut-out lace up oxfords that screamed my name. So.....I bought them. And since I had new shoes, I needed new clothes to go with it (it's only right. lol): I bought 2 pairs of skinny trouser pants from H&M (black and grey), a navy boyfriend button down cardigan, a v-neck rose color sweater from Banana Republic and a light blue with a satin trim neck t-shirt from Banana Republic as well, a short black trench coat (very Katharine Hepburn) and a Calvin Klein white tunic. I was very good, lol. That was all I bought for myself (and argyle socks too, lol). I also bought the new Parallel Bible (KJV/Amplified) and French Lessons on CD (to brush up my accent) from Barnes & Noble. I am such a dork because I considered that a treat to myself. After I was done, I had too many bags and my back was hurting me so bad. Imagine how much fun I had getting on a packed NYC train with all those packages. SMH. Let me start wrapping my niece's birthday presents before I fall asleep.

The Birthday Card
So i was asked to make this awesome birthday card for april by the guys, thus why we were trying to hard to hide the secret from her.
There's nothing written on it by the guys because they hand written their comments. I on the other hand could not because i had to e-mail it to Fred, so i typed mine out. Here's the cover:
And here's the inside, complete with the pictures Fred had me photoshop. i left room for 2 people's comments here.
and here's the back of the card, room for one comment and my comment.
Here are some enlarged pictures of the Fantastic 4 photoshopped pictures.
I stayed up until almost 5 in the morning trying to get it done :P mainly because i didn't have the resources before, like photos of Fred's head lol

Share Your Story
We decided to change up our usual Friday Night Youth Service and had a guest speaker from a church we fellowship with: Sheperd's House Open Bible Church. The topic was faith. He began to share his testimony about how he waited and went through for his mate. The funny thing is that I knew his story because we became friends in the midst of it, but for him to share his story with a group of people that didn't know him that well encouraged me. It seems these days the Lord is going about pairing up the Youth in the old school/biblical way. The Lord has been sending prophecies, dreams, word confirmation, etc. to show us who HE has for us. The thing is there's a ministry in each marriage, but that is how it's supposed to be. I remember being told that marriage itself is a ministry and it also represents the relationship between Christ and His bride: the church. When I think about it from that point it totally blows my mind! It's just another way to represent Christ to the world. Isn't that amazing? Your future spouse/ or current one is a living example....but I digress, I remember a while back that I told the Youth that it's our job to share our stories. We don't know who we are helping when we talk about where we've been and what we've been through.

RIP Ms Almost Pyatt
I just wanted to say my thoughts (and the prayers would be too, if I prayed) are going out to Taylor Pyatt today.
It's been reported that last night his fiancee died in a car crash in Jamaica while on vacation with her mom.
Taylor, you are too pretty to be upset. Now those beautiful eyes will be all woeful and haunted.
Since there's obviously nothing I can actually do (without being a stalker) I'm sending out some virtual cuddles.
My poor, poor Pyatt :(

That is NOT Entertainment!
I was on Youtube today looking up the video to a song my sister told me about. I stumbled across an "artist" (and when I say artist I use that term loosely) named Lady Gaga. She has a video to a song called "Poker Face". One word to descibe that experience: HORRIBLE! I am not someone to attack anyone but that video wasn't even mildly entertaining. I think she would have potential if she really sang and not focused so much on her "look". You know who can sing? Leona Lewis. She reminds me of the old-school singers. She's so talented. The sad thing about this is that Lady Gaga has 3 singles on the Top 20 List (so I have been told) and Leona? None. Can you really tell me that America is so into the image of things that we don't care about the actual product? It hurts me to think that talented artists are sucessful in other countries but struggle when they get here. Does that make any sense?

Kristen Stewart Compare 'Adventureland' To A Pop Song
'The movie is only 3 minutes long,' co-star Jesse Eisenberg jokes of the comparison.
"Superbad" writer/director Greg Mottola designed his follow-up film "Adventureland" with the hope that it would play like a great pop song. His stars say they can see the comparison.
"It's very emotional," Kristen Stewart said. "It's got a thumping heartbeat at the core of it, and it's got rhythm."
"And the movie is only three minutes long," co-star Jesse Eisenberg teased.
"I don't know if I would use that example necessarily," Ryan Reynolds countered. "I feel like it plays a lot like some of the greatest '80s movies that I loved. I mean the 'Say Anything ... 's — that Cameron Crowe wheelhouse."
Those movies, however, were always driven by an unforgettable soundtrack (it's no coincidence that "Adventureland" and "Say Anything ... " feature songs by the Replacements); an '80s setting ("Adventureland" is loosely based on Mottola's youth); and a sweet-but-pathetic central character, played by Eisenberg but owing a debt to John Cusack's Lloyd Dobler...
