Happy Valentine's Day!!!!!!
1 Corinthians 13:4-8a (NIV)
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
Love is a beautiful and truly amazing thing when you experience it for real.

The Love Dinner!
Much thanks to all the people who came, ate, served, etc. It was my first decorating gig and I must say I loved it! Could there be more where that came from? Thanks to my friend Sashelle who took the pics (I was too busy to) even though they were with a cell phone.

After Careful Consideration.......
I decided that I will try and spend the remainder of the year single. And when I mean single that means:
1. No dates
2. No texting
3. No adding a new number to my phone if they are under the impression that something could happen
AND......
4. No flirting
I don't think it will be too hard; I just have to not look at the male species (especially europeans) as objects of hotness. I will just look but not really pay attention! I will keep you updating on this as it progesses.
Anywho.....Today I went dress shopping with Stacey. We found her dress! She looked so beautiful. I finally understand what they mean when they say that you know when you find your dress. She nearly made me cry (nearly).
The Valentine's Day Movie was cute. I actually thought it would suck (I am not a fan of modern day chick-flicks for some reason).
I have to go wash my hair so I talk to you later.

Happy Valentine's Day & Happy Birthday Musings of a Quartlerlife!!!!
Happy Valentine's Day! The Love Dinner was a success! We catered to 80 people. My god-brother (who was th chef for the night) started his company called Infinity Catering. The table centerpieces consists of willows in glass vases surrounded by stones, tea lights and Hershey's kisses (lol). It was extremely tiring and fun. I slept in today and will meet with my friend Beatriz to see the Valentine's Day movie and a cheapy dinner, lol.
Also, it's Musings of a Quarterlife birthday! This blog is fairly new; but I am blessed that I can share my thoughts and musings with others. Hopefully this time next year I will covered more diverse topics and develop a huge follwing so we can share our musings with each other.

Table for 1?
Tomorrow is Valentine's Day. On this day you fall into two categories: the haves and the have-nots. You either have someone to be your Valentine who will shower you with gifts and affection or you go out and eat solo or catch a chick-flick with another single girlfriend. Then you two try not empty too many containers of Ben & Jerry chocolate chip cookie dough. If you're the latter like moi, its the best time to embrace your singleness. After all it is a gift from God. This is a time to be broken from old habits, put through the fire, cleaned and polished before we meet our partner for this walk. If you have been called to a life of "singleness"? You have the ultimate lover of your soul to talk with whenever and wherever. How excellent is that?
In a society where they reserve showing their love to the significant other for this particular day, I often wonder: Is everyday Valentine's Day for the Christian believer? Think about it, God loved us so much that He sent His ONLY son to beome the ultimate sacrifice so that we may have everlasting life (John 3:16). I think that we should be thinking about the spiritual roses and chocolates we get from the Lord everyday in His word and life.
