A Change for the Better

Let me begin with Friday night; my cousin, sister and I went to Shepherd's House to go support our friend Berlinda who was ministering the Word for the first time during their Youth Service. Her message was about Lot's wife. How that one look back can be the look that kills us. It was an awesome word; especially for me sister to hear. Today was even more amazing because of the fact that my sister rededicated her life to Christ. It feels good to see her moving in the right direction and going down the path that God has for her. I'm excited to see what she will be doing in the future.

When I Enter Your Rest

"Early in the morning, I seek Your face
I find my life in the fullness of Your joy.
Every stress and anxiety, it is gone;
When I enter Your rest, when I enter Your rest.
I find my life in You, when I enter Your rest.
My peace is complete, when I enter Your rest.
My faith is refreshed, when I enter Your rest.
I am surrounded by the power of Your love."

-When I Enter Your Rest/Cuando Reposo En Ti- Joann Rosario

The first time I heard this song, I was at a concert at Shepherd's House. There were two sister singing the song acoustic. It spoke volumes to the situation I was going through at the time. So when I was trying to find a song to praise dance to for Resurrection Sunday, this song kept playing over in my head. The words along just give me strength when I read it and I agree with it. When we enter the rest of the Lord; we find peace, we have our faith renewed, we are strengthened and restored. No one can do that for us but the Lord. In Deutronomy 33:27a "The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are everlasting arms..." The Lord is not only our rest but a refuge, a strong tower; our fort. Nothing beats that.

Thanks to All My Friends & Family!!!!

The dinner was so much fun! Even though we were all on our best behavior; I truly enjoyed myself. The dinner was at the Riverview restaurant in Long Island City by the East River. It was freezing! But I had a great time. To be surrounded by friends and love ones who I can have been there for me through it all was truly humbling. Here are some pics. I have church in the morning, so talk to you later.

It’s A Party!

Today the Youth of Mt. Olive is going to show some love to the Youth at Shepherd’s House (why am I not surprised, lol). They are having a block party and we are going to go show some love and support. I love the fact that young people can come together and have a great time for the Lord. I just got back from the salon and I finally got my beautician to dye my hair black. I have been bickering with her forever about this topic; she wants to streak it and I’m like “NO WAY!” I won! Well, this time I did. I am so looking forward to later. I’ll keep you posted.

What God Has Brought Together......

Today was Jovian & Berlinda’s wedding from Shepherd’s House. It was at this beautiful country club in New Rochelle. I had so much fun. “Richard & Maddy” didn’t get there until the reception and guess what?: she wore a white dress to the wedding! Smh. Doesn’t anyone know wedding etiquette these days? Any who, David (an Evangelist at Shepherd’s House who keeps calling me Rihanna) told me that I will receive a radical last name change. My cousin was so excited and I was sooo embarrassed! Other than that, the wedding was so beautiful. It makes waiting so worth while, to be able to walk down the aisle and into the arms of the person God has for me: priceless. Back to work tomorrow. Everyone loved my Royal Blue Club Monaco dress; I knew they would. Sigh; day in the life of a fashionista.

Let's Give Them Something to Talk About

Today was Shepherd’s House Open Bible (Queens, NY) Church Youth Campaign. Can you say amazing? Lol, the message was an awesome one. The minister talked about how you can’t just show up at something (a promise, a place that God has called you to be at) and think it’s enough; you have to take authority! I was in awe as he broke it down for us. I think its so cool how you can read the word over and over and come away from it with a new revelation each time. There are a lot of things and situations that the Lord has made available to me and called me to that I need to step to and take authority of. If I don’t, someone else might move in because I didn’t speak up. So I’m going to take a stand.
