Prepping.

My cousins and I are going over the last minute things we need to do and get before the wedding on Monday which happens to be Labor Day and my day off. This means that I will be exhausted come Tuesday because I plan to have a wonderful time on that day. There are little things I am preparing myself for: worst-case senarios, best-case senarios, but I am putting it out of sight and out of mind.

A Day to Myself!

Today was my day off. I actually slept in late! It felt so good. I don’t know what I will do now that I am not running around finding things for the wedding. I should start reading again; I miss curling up and reading a good novel. I just started reading My Life as A Doormat by Rene Gutteridge; its really good so far. Well, let me get back to lounging, have a wonderful day.

Bring On the Sari's

Today is the first day that I intentionally took off this whole year! And guess what I did? I went shopping for the Sari’s for my best friend’s bridal shower. I love the fabrics and had a total field day learning how to wrap, pleat and tie it. I need to actually have a day where I can just stay in bed and do absolutely nothing. God willing that day will come soon. I wonder what my life will be like a year from now, what would have changed, stayed the same, etc. I went by my old job today and was so surprised at how everyone looked the same way, but I felt different and out of place. That is funny since I was so comfortable there before and didn’t want to leave. It’s funny what happens when you get out of your comfort zone.
