All This & Heaven Too!

Elevate was an absolutely amazing experience! I feel amazing! It’s not the amazing high that will wear off but the feeling that my life will never and can never be the same. I know that some things and situations will not change overnight but I do know it takes time and it’s a process. I can tell you this: the process has already begun!

It's Your Life!

We went into fasting and prayer from 6:00 until 12:00 noon. It was a wonderful experience. I feel like I’ve been in the kitchen all day, lol. We cooked for Pastor Kyle and most of the people on the floor; I feel like a mother already. Lol. I’ve taken a nap and went bowling with one of the youth I’m watching Christina and ended up bumping into “Richard and Maddy”. Pastor Kyle touched on the subject of being in a relationship with someone who you know isn’t who God had intended for you but you don’t feel like waiting anymore…..HELLO! How many times is God going to speak to him before he catches the vision? Any who, the evening service was absolutely wonderful! I danced until I couldn’t dance any longer, then I cooked some more. LOL.

While filming The Runaways movie, Kristen Stewart cut her trademark long, full hair into an uneven 'mullet' hairstyle. Photos of the hairstyle were released on June 11, 2009, garnering a great deal of media attention.

The Runaways is a 2010 biopic of 1970s all-girl rock band of the same name. The Runaways was written and directed by Floria Sigismondi, and stars Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett, Dakota Fanning as Cherie Currie, Stella Maeve as Sandy West, Scout Taylor-Compton as Lita Ford, and Michael Shannon as Kim Fowley. Alia Shawkat plays the band's bassist, a fictional character named Robin. None of The Runaways former bassists are portrayed in the film.

The Runaways is loosely based on lead-singer Cherie Currie's 1989 autobiography Neon Angel: The Cherie Currie Story which details her fractured childhood, the group's meteoric rise to fame, and her subsequent battle and recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. The Runaways covers the formation of the band through to Cherie's departure at the peak of their success. Jett has stated that "The Runaways" is "absolutely not a biopic. It's not fact-for-fact. What they did was basically take elements from the Runaways story and created a parallel narrative."

Is He Not Strong Enough?

I never want to be in a position where I doubt my God and want He can do. I know God is a God who can do ANYTHING! There is no limit to what, when and how He can do it. I’m a little tired, I got in at 2:30 am and then went to sleep only to get up at 8:00 and get ready for Elevate today. We got off to a bumpy start; My Youth President Duanne was mad at the boys (Danny, Yardley and Craig) for taking their time and making us later (later being that Duanne made us late to begin with, lol) than we already were. I have bags of clothes for a 3 day retreat! It’s so bad, I feel like such a chick! Any who; the pastor that is speaking is named Kyle Rodgers. He’s an on fire, anointed man of God. Did I mention that he’s 25? Lol. It makes it even better because he’s ministering about what he’s dealing with now. He touched on the topic of being in a relationship even if you know that’s not who God has for you…..no comment. I’m believing God for an awesome move and change on behalf of the Youth.

Happy Birthday Mommy!

Today is my mom’s 49th Birthday! She’s getting old, lol. I thank God for my mother. She worked hard so that her children wants and needs would be met. I love her. My mother is the easiest person to shop for. She like classics, cheesy old movies (with killer ants, spiders, etc), and flowers. I have to waitress a party tonight and God knows what time I will be home. I am ready to stop waitressing all together; it’s not where I need to be.

Back To Work!

Back to work! I’m so tired. It’s New York Fashion Week in a couple of days, and I have planned out my itinerary for the first Fashion Night Out! I am soooooo excited! There will be events all around NY. I plan to hit up midtown and move uptown. SO EXCITED! Did I say that already? LOL. YSL will be releasing their Manifesto with Tote Bags and I hope they don’t do it while I’m at Elevate. Speaking of Elevate. We are leaving this Friday and I can say I won’t come back the same way I left. I am so excited and anxious to hear what God will say to the Youth this year. I pray I get enough sleep the day before so I will be up just in case anyone wants to pull pranks this year…..long story, lol. Be blessed.

What God Has Brought Together......

Today was Jovian & Berlinda’s wedding from Shepherd’s House. It was at this beautiful country club in New Rochelle. I had so much fun. “Richard & Maddy” didn’t get there until the reception and guess what?: she wore a white dress to the wedding! Smh. Doesn’t anyone know wedding etiquette these days? Any who, David (an Evangelist at Shepherd’s House who keeps calling me Rihanna) told me that I will receive a radical last name change. My cousin was so excited and I was sooo embarrassed! Other than that, the wedding was so beautiful. It makes waiting so worth while, to be able to walk down the aisle and into the arms of the person God has for me: priceless. Back to work tomorrow. Everyone loved my Royal Blue Club Monaco dress; I knew they would. Sigh; day in the life of a fashionista.
