When God Writes Your Love Story

Tomorrow is Jovian and Berlinda’s wedding. I am so happy for them. I can’t stop smiling for them. I thank God that we are becoming that generation that are seeking God in all aspects of our lives. I remember when I read “When God Writes Your Love Story”, by Eric & Leslie Ludy; that they were discussing give God that aspect of your life. He is an amazing author. He spoke things into existence, blessed nations, parted seas, does things that always blows our minds; this is a walk in the park for us. In Jeremiah 1:5a (NIV) “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart…” He is telling us He already has everything planned, sorted, done. This brings me back to one of my favorite Bible verses: Jeremiah 29:11. He said that He knows the plans He has for us; and these plans are plans to give us hope, a future, and to prosper us. Now, that doesn’t sound bad to me. God isn’t going to force us to give Him the pen; we have to hand it over freely. How many of us are tired of heartbreak, pain, and hurting? That wouldn’t have happened if we let Him write our story. So give Him the pen today.

Oh Boy!

I am in the process of making sure I have everything ready for Monday. I am so happy and excited for them. I really need a nap. If I could get some time to sleep and stay in bed all day it would be gift that only God can give me. Keep me in prayer.

Prepping.

My cousins and I are going over the last minute things we need to do and get before the wedding on Monday which happens to be Labor Day and my day off. This means that I will be exhausted come Tuesday because I plan to have a wonderful time on that day. There are little things I am preparing myself for: worst-case senarios, best-case senarios, but I am putting it out of sight and out of mind.

Stumbling, On These Shadowfeet

It gets harder; especially when you decide to stand for Christ. When you decide to say that you won’t do things like the world but you will be set apart. Everything is a fight; everyday. Who do we make it? We have to remember who we serve, who is walking along side us. Who is this person: his name is Jesus. I am the first to say that the moment I open my eyes the battle begins; to have to die to things, desires, habits that I used to do; that the world encourages is the hardest thing. So when I am stumbling, I go to Jesus. He’s the rock, He keeps me standing; He holds my hand. I hope someone is blessed by this.

It's Time to Start Anew

My ex had his baby yesterday and I realized that it’s time to start over. Everyone is moving forward but I feel like I’m moving backwards. I know you have been there before; you feel like everyone is getting what they want besides you. I know that everyone has their own season and own time. So Lord please keep me until it’s mine.

Favor

“But the LORD was with Joseph and showed him mercy, and He gave him favor in the sight of the keeper of the prison.”- Genesis 39:21 NKJV

I thank God for favor. I was reading my Joyce Meyer Daily Devotional (a new fav) and I was amazed at the way she broke it down. She said favor was something that is available to all but not everyone has enough faith to access it. And there lies the problem: not enough faith. Sometimes I wonder how we as Christians get by when we don’t believe that Good can deliver us out of the littlest situations. I remember when I was praying on Saturday at the concert; God told me that he made this world just by saying it. My situation was nothing for Him. And that’s what we need to remind ourselves, this situation is easy for God; we have to believe that He can do it and ask Him to bestow His favor on us in the midst. Be blessed.
