Changes....

Starting Monday, I will be an empoyee of Dolce & Gabbana Corporate!!!!!! I am so excited and so blessed that I can't even begin to express myself. I am going to miss my co-workers at my former job but I'm so excited to see what the next level has for me!

I'm Going Through Changes.....

It's a new year and I must admit that I'm so excited to see what is going to happen. It's a clean slate, a new beginning, another chance to start anew. I am looking forward to all that God has for me and what He will do for me. I just can't wait! Service is later, so let me get to bed. Be blessed.

Happy New Year!!!!!

I know, I know. I absolutely suck! I have been so busy the past couple of months with prepping for our Christmas program, Bible School, etc. etc. etc. Lol. I am so excited for this year; I mean really excited. My best friends (Stace and Lizzy) are engaged! (Stace and Mike git enagaged Jan. 7, 2010 and Lizzy and Robert Thanksgiving). This translates to more bridesmaids dresses I will attend and more wedding showers, blah, blah, blah, blah. Lol. This year is new; the decade is new; it’s a chance for a clean slate for so many people. I can say my life will never be the same. I have a new blog up on onsugar.com http://musingsofaquarterlife.onsugar.com This is for my fashion musings since this blog has become for more of my God based musings, lol. Not that there is anything at all wrong with that! I will continually blog here; but if you want to read my random blogging on hotties, fashion, Jane Austen (lol) etc, you know where to go now. But seriously, I pray that you this year will be a year that we all move to higher heights and deeper depths in Christ. May everyone be blessed.

Happy Quarterlife to Me!

It’s my Birthday!!!!!!! I am so excited and sooo blessed! I thank You Lord for allowing me to see another day and another year. I also thank all my friends and family who continued to keep me in my prayers; and those who prayed for me when I didn’t even know they were doing so. I feel so humble and so grateful that God has allowed me of all people to see another day; another year. I am forever grateful and in awe of His mercies and grace. I thank God for allowing me to se 25 years, and if it be His will 75 more! Lol. I close chapters and leave the past in the past. I move forward; there’s no looking back. I played Damita Haddon’s song “No Looking Back” this morning on my way to work. It really speaks to me. The song goes like this: “I am leaving this place now; letting go of all my fears, saying good-bye to the memory I hold dear. I can finally breathe again; it’s a new day fair well past, as I close this chapter I set free at last- I made up my mind, there’s no turning back. The past is behind me, there’s no looking back. I’m looking forward not behind; I’ve made a decision, I give you my life. - Every step I take is new. I found courage to go on; though it’s rough sometime I still have to be strong. I may have to walk alone, but the One who lives inside me is always there to comfort and to guide…..” I love this song! Lol. I am truly blessed!

Breaking Free

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”- 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIV)

It’s time to break free and rejoice in the freedom that only comes from Jesus. We need to embrace the fresh start we have and allow God to use us for His glory. A new chance and a do-over have been given to us. Its time now to live as God will have us, no the way we want to anymore. Aren’t you excited? It’s a chance to do it right, we have a manual to help us at that, lol. The Bible stands for Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth (by the way, that reminds me of my favorite Burlap to Cashmere song “Basic Instructions”). I feel like I’m rambling, lol. But seriously, it’s a whole lot easier when you have a manual for life; think about it.

Everything's Changing...

I have to say that Keane song has been stuck in my head since the first time I heard it those years back. I have to agree to an extent; everything is changing. My cousin and best friend are about to get married, my sister will be married next year along with my best friends; and in the midst of it all it feels like I’m staying the same. Even my cousin who had trouble with her relationship is getting some leeway. I am not saying that a relationship will change things; it is just the next obvious step in my ministry. I am at this point that I am at peace with being single. I actually feel attached to no one but the Lord; it took me over a year and a half to get here. I am finally in my spring season. I originally called my season of struggle and getting to where God needed me to be as my Winter Season. That’s when you need to be stripped down and things must die and rest so that you can prepare to give birth to new life and colors in the next one. It’s amazing how God speaks to you. I didn’t realize I was in that season until I was talking to my IT tech and he reset my password to winter. I laughed when I realized what it meant and what it meant to me. I had to update my information last week Friday and guessed what it was changed to? Spring. I actually feel the difference; the change of depending completely on God for a companionship and for a pouring into my spirit as well as a purging. Maybe someone is still in winter; maybe you didn’t even realize it yet. But I want to tell you that in this season God wants to warm you, purify you, and have you depend totally on Him so that when spring comes you will continue to. He is with you in the rough patches and definitely leading you through the good ones. Be blessed.
