Thoughtless Thursday Answer to ONE Q&A ...

Hewwo ladies (and gent, i.e. Mister), it's Thursday and we all know what THAT means here at LITFL (yes I DID just make my blog name into an acronym, I ain't skeered) ... say it (read it, mean it, own it) with me ...

Photobucket

And since I have NO exciting pictures to post today I thought I'd answer a question that a few of you asked yesterday which is, "What do you plan on doing with the nursery?"  So, I'll show you a few ideas I have.  Mind you, the Mister hasn't seen any of these, BUT after 5 years of marriage he's learned that messing with the decorating side of the house means certain death by lasers shooting out of my eyes a notsohappy wifey.  Don't get me wrong, I don't usually do anything he doesn't like or approve of, but he's pretty good about letting me take the reins in this department.  Just like I'm really good about letting him take the reins in the "poop-scooping, lawn-mowing, weed-eating, trash-taking-out" department.  Aren't I sweet?  So here you have it.  A few pictures of some ideas I have for the little guy.  And you'll have to excuse the "only boy" ideas however I've felt like this was a boy even before we found out the 95% likelihood that it is so that's all I've been looking at.  Here's what I originally liked ...

{we plan on buying a white crib which I'm glad we haven't bought yet since they just recalled something like 2 million cribs!  sheesh.}

However I THINK I've changed my mind since I found this bedding ...

{um, the word "turquoise" was in the description, can you blame me with my obsession with love for teal?}

With either option I LOVE this glider and matching ottoman (from WALMART I might add, heck yes for saving a little dough!) ...

And a few of these signs around the room, to bring Disney into the design without making my child TERRIFIED of it by the time he's able to talk because he's had Mickey slapped on every blanket, sheet, wall hanging and pillow he's seen.

{these come in any color you want (I would do blue or green if I chose the first bedding), they are from etsy.com and they have several sayings, this makes me happy just THINKING about it.}

And last I have a distressed armoire that is all white with old fashioned clear door knobs as drawer pulls that I'm going to keep in the nursery and my grandma has a vintage dresser that is distressed in a light green color that I think will go PERFECTLY with either bedding option.  We will put a changing pad on top of it and use that for our changing table.  So TECHNICALLY we only have to buy the bedding, glider/ottoman and crib!  Believe me, this makes one CPA Mister I know very, VERY happy.

And last but not least since some of you Soulmatey requested a belly pic to go along with the 18 week bumpdates yesterday, here you go.  I swear the belly has big time popped this week.  So much so that I looked down on Tuesday and thought "where'd YOU come from?"  Unfortunately I don't have the cute sticker to go with it because they go in 4 week stints.  So the next one will be on my 20 week belly shot.  I know you're SO excited (sarcasm much?) ...

And that's all for this TT friends!  I'd LOVE for you to play along, just choose random pictures of whatever you want from however long ago you want and come back here and link up with your post!  Happy "almost Friday day" loves!!!

18 Week Bumpdates and Q&A ...

Try and contain your excitement.  Please don't pee your pants.  It's time to talk about all things containing to my expanding uterus (which is the size of a cantelope bytheway) and proceed with my weekly,

BUMPDATES!

How far along:  Must I show you the picture of the chart with the vajayjay on it again?  Alright ...

{I know it's the umbilical cord but it totally looks like there's a jellyfish swimming around in there with my kid.  Don't worry little turkey, someday I promise to pee on you if you're ever stung by one.  That's right.  I'm momma enough to do it ...}

Maternity Clothes:  Yep.  Rockin' the sexy elastic band like it's my JOB.  If I weren't I'd feel like someone trying to fit into Spanks that are three sizes too small.  Or put jeans on immediately after getting out of the shower.  Both of these things should be added to the list of ways to torture people for information.  Seriously.

Sleep:  SO much better.  Until I accidentally left the bedroom door open one day when the Mister and I went to run some errands and Koda ate my Boppy Pregnancy Pillow.  It's a good thing he's so cute.  No really, he is ...

{See?  Don't you just want to kiss that big black nose?  I do.  And I do it often.}

Luckily I was able to get another one from Target the next day.  So the sleeping is still MUCH better.

Best Moment of the Week:  Feeling the baby MOVE!  I definately have a little thumper in there (that's what it feels like to me, little thumps), he really likes to bust a move after I've had some orange juice, or anything with sugar in it like my 3 Tootsie Roll Pops I devoured yesterday.

Movement:  Um.  See above questionnaire.  I'm starting to doubt your intelligence ...

Food Craving:  Tootsie Roll Pops and fruity candy ... it looks like instead of kicking out the Fat Fairy the Fruit Fairy and the Fat Fairy became BFFs and joined forces.  This doesn't do me much good you two.

Gender:  Still 95% sure it's a boy.  Next Friday we will know 100% SURE!

What I'm looking forward to:  The fall.  No seriously.  It was 102 here yesterday.  Don't beweaf me?

Also pregnancy and summer clothes is NOT a cute mix.  I promise.

Weekly Wisdom:  Don't wear jumpers with straps when you're a pregnant women with a bladder that feels like it's being used like one of Koda's squeezy squeaky toys.  Just trust me.  Don't do it.
And now, I'll leave you with what Summer fun SHOULD look like.  This might be the cutest thing I've ever seen.  Except there is no way I would ever be able to repeat any of these dog's names.  If I were dog sitting, they'd all go by "hey you" ... you'll see what I mean.

And last, like I said yesterday, if you have ANY questions you'd like to know about little ol' me, throw 'em my way!  I pretty much divulge anything and everything about myself anyways so y'all may not have any, but if you do, I'd love to hear them and answer them soon in a post!  Happy Wednesday loves!!!

TV Week: Shows That Ended Much Too Soon

There are some shows that I fell in love with only to see them canceled too soon.  I hate that.

What were some of your favorites that ended too soon?

TV Week continues tomorrow with Returning Shows I'm Excited About.

Blog Award and a Little Sappyness ...

Well thank GOODNESS for Alison & Carolyn for being OH so very sweet and giving me the ...

... one, because, like I said, it was OH so very sweet of them, but also because I didn't have SQUAT to talk about today.  Except the fact that I've already eaten 3 Tootsie Roll pops and I haven't even had lunch, but that's neither here nor there.  Hey, the baby was craving them, what was I supposed to do, deprive my child?  What kind of MOTHER would I be?  Right, so .... movingrightalong.  I usually don't do the "requirements to accept an award thingy" for no good reason other than I'm too lazy to, but this one seemed kinda fun.  It requires you to name 10 things about yourself.  However, I thought I'd turn it around a little bit and have YOU loverly ladies make up the questions you'd like to know about ... well, myself.  So, if there's anything you've wondered about the blogger behind Life In The Fulmer Lane gorightahead and ask it.  No really.  Go 'head.  I ain't skeered.  I'll answer them on another day that I don't have squat to say.  Which is more often than usual lately.  I blame it and most any other thing I have no excuse for on pregnancy brain.

And for the record, I'm giving this award to you all.  Because I WUV you all.  And 'cause I can.  My blog, my rules (smile).

Next, I forgot to tell y'all!  The wonderful people over at CSN Stores have contacted me to do a review of one of their products of my choice!  If you haven't visited their website you absolutely should.  Oh how I would LOVE to have a new vanity for our powder bath, a darling diaper bag for our little one on the way or any of their fantastic bakeware to practice my domesticness that I will be fully embracing in about 5 months!  I will let y'all know what I choose and how I like it!

I thought I'd share the following video with you all.  One, because I love Disney so much, but also because I've been LOVING me some of the song that accompanies the video.  I received a Disney Lullaby CD from a friend of mine, who OBVIOUSLY knows me well because I'm already listening to it, and Baby of Mine from Dumbo is on the CD.  If you want to make a momma-to-be cry on cue, play her this song.  So I will warn you, if you're human (and if you're not, please stop reading my blog cause that's skeery), this video will make you tear up a bit.  But it's just too precious not to post.  I hope y'all enjoy it as much as I did!

Also, happy first day of Summer yesterday!  Apparently Texas didn't check it's calender because we've been seeing this for at LEAST two weeks now ...

Anyone know when the first day of Fall is?

TV Week - TV Shows I Miss

I love TV.  I really do.  I have not had time to watch as much TV as I used to, so I have to be very selective in my old age.  But I can't imagine life without TV.  So welcome to TV week all my fellow junkies!

Since TV has been sucking lately, I have been re-watching some of my favorites.  Yes, some are cheesy, but I really enjoy them, even now.  Here are some TV shows I really miss - why don't they make TV like this anymore?

Anyone else watch these shows?

What TV shows do you miss?

The rest of TV week will be:
Shows That Ended Much Too Soon
Returning Shows I'm Excited About
The Best of the Worst - Reality TV
New Shows I'm Intrigued About

Post added to:
Tuesday Tag-Along

Much Better Monday ...

Even though it IS Monday, I'm definately feeling less funky than Friday and more merry this Monday.  And bytheway, thank you to all my cheerleaders that wished me a great weekend and encouraged me to come out of my funk.  As suspected, it ended at precisely 3:30 pm (well, maybe about 5 minutes before when I was told I could go home EARLY!) and got even better as more weekend came my way.  And again, you're not going to beWIEF it, but I TOOK PICTURES!  I'm so very proud.  So, we'll start with Friday night.  After I got home from work (early, did I mention that already?) we headed over to our good friends the Milam's house for a going away party for our friend Laura.  Laura's moving to Disney World, ahem, I mean Florida, and I'm kinda jealous about it.  Her family is there so I'm sure she'll be thrilled to be close to them again (and Disney World, of course) but we're really going to miss her ...

{All the girls.  Hiding behind the bar for some reason.}

{The hostess with the mostess and myself.}

{Auntie Leesh lovin' on baby Fulmer.}

We had ourselves a good time.  And can we just talk about the schmorgasborg of DEWISHUS appetizers they had?  Let's just say I didn't look as pregnant when I got there as I did when I left ...

On Saturday the Mister and I went to the first part of my late birfday present, to see this FABULOUS production ...

Which, lemme tell you, I've seen it 3 times now, once here, another time in NYC and again here, and it's just as amazingly good each time I see it.  If you haven't seen it and it comes to the town you live in, I HIGHLY recommend getting tickets if you can.  AH-MAZING.

We then headed out to the second part of my late birfday present, my birfday dinner, which was so fun because my Mister told them before hand that it was my birfday (which, it was really a month ago) and so they had a card waiting at the table, with streamers decorating it as well.  Everyone kept wishing me a happy birtfday throughout the evening and I just had to do my best to say "thank you" and not giggle since it was a month ago.  We went to a steak restaurant in Dallas, Nick and Sams.  It's one of our favorites.

{Isn't he just so cute?  And don't worry, that's sparkling cider.  I so felt like I was celebrating New Years at age 13 again ...}

Afterwards we had a friend's 30th birfday party.  And amazingly I didn't take any pictures of his soiree.  BUT, to my defense, I did stay out until midnight.  Now that should count for something, right?

Sunday I woke up and gave the Mister his first Father's Day gift.  And I didn't take a picture of it ... wroooooops.  But I'll tell y'all what it was.  I ordered him a coffee mug (he loves him some black coffee in the manana, blech) with two different pictures, one on each side, of our last sonogram with the phrase "happy first father's day!" on one side and "i love you daddy" on the other.  It turned out REALLY cute and he absolutely loved it!  Then we went to my mom and step-dad's house to celebrate Father's Day with them.  We had burgers and opened presents and had SO much fun EXCEPT, I didn't take any pictures ... wroooooooops.  Afterwards following stuffing my face with a giant burger we headed over to my Mamo's house to celebrate Father's Day with my daddy.  Where I immediately proceeded to stuff my face with pizza we opened presents, had some dinner and a really good time celebrating my dad.  And I DID take some pictures here ...

{Opening his presents ...}

{Taking a picture with his favorite first born.}

{Hmmmm.  I wonder where I get my goofiness from?}

{My Silly took these ... and I played with them a bit on Picnik.  Pardon my awesome roots.  Dang prenatals making my hair grow like a weed ...}

{That SHOULD read ALMOST 18 week bump.  Wroooops.}

And last but CERTAINLY not least, please hop on over and vistit my Soulmatey for her FABULOUS giveaway on her blog of ...

EEEEEEEPPPP I hope I win!  There's a darling little diaper bag combo that I would LOVE to add to Baby Fulmer's soon-to-be growing collection of gear!

And there you have it!  There's my weekend in a pic & word-shell.  I hope y'all had wonderful Father's Day weekends and are having as merry of a Monday as I am!!!

At the Movies: Letters to Juliet

I FINALLY saw Letters to Juliet.  Woo Hoo!  And I liked it.  Bonus!

Sophie is a young aspiring writer who works as a fact checker at the New Yorker.  She travels to Italy with her fiance, a budding restauranteur. While her fiance is tasting cheeses, buying wines, and learning Italian cooking techniques, Sophie tours Rome.  One of her first stops is Juliet's house, where hundreds of women of all ages gather every day and write letters to Juliet about their love life problems.  She finds a letter from Claire, who 50 years ago did not go to meet the love of her life so that they could elope.  Claire aswers the letter.  This brings Claire to Italy, to find her long lost love.  Sophie comes along, offering her fact checking skills for a chance to write Claire's story.

Girls, Letters is every bit the sweet romantic story that the ads promise.  The Italian countryside backdrop is stunning, the story is endearing, and the acting is believable - except for a somewhat forced ice cream scene, but I am willing to overlook that.  Your significant other probably will not appreciate this movie.  It is 100% a chick flick.  So don't bother with this one on your next date night.  But if you and one or more of your girls are looking for something to do after gabbing away at dinner, check out Letters.  This is one of those rosy sweet romantic movies that makes you feel good about life.  I think you'll like it as much as I did.
