A well-known speaker started off his seminar by holding up a $20.00 bill. In the room of 200, he asked, "Who would like this $20 bill?"
Hands started going up.
He said, "I am going to give this $20 to one of you, but first let me do this." He proceeded to crumple up the $20 dollar bill. He then asked, "Who still wants it?"
Still the hands went into the air.
"Well," he replied, "What if I do this?"And he dropped it on the ground and started to grind it into the floor with his shoe. He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty. "Now, who still wants it?"
The hands remained in the air.
"My friends, we have all learned a very valuable lesson. No matter what I did to the money, you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value. It was still worth $20."
Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless... But no matter what has happened or what will happen, you will never lose your value.
Dirty or clean, crumpled or finely creased, you are still priceless to those who LOVE you.
The worth of our lives comes not in what we do or who we know, but by WHO we are and WHOSE we are.
You are special - Don't EVER forget it!

The Fray
I went to The Fray's concert at the Oprheum on Wednesday night and it was awesome! I was so impressed with them. The lead singer has an amazing voice. He totally sounds like the CD when he's singing live. The band was also really good talking and joking with the audience.
During the performance this one guy a few rows ahead of us kepy checking my friend out and turning around and pointing at us. It looked like he was with his girlfriend so I was motioning him to turn around. He was motioning for us to come a few rows up and join him. We didn't so he came back to us. It turns out he is from Abbotsford like me, and the girl with him is his ex.

So we go with him up a few rows and have fun dancing and singing along.
The lead singer tells everyone to shut up (well he said it nicer than that) and sit down and he sings a song acoustic, just him and his guitar. I had no chair so I sat on the ex's lap. During the solo people kept yelling "you are sexy" and "do it naked."
The next day I bought pre-sale tickets to see the Fray when they come in July.... So excited!
I'm an ADDICT
I am addicted... to eBay!
I really want a Dior purse. Sooo bad. A Pink, Girly Dior Purse. I bid on this purse but was way outbid.
I have been super bored at work lately so I have been checking out the auctions. I have already won 5 things: 1 perfume (Lancome Ange ou Demon) and 4 purses (2 Puma, 1 Ralph Lauren and one Rocawear.) Here are the pics of them:

Crazed Irish Person Day
I've got Mad Curling Skills
I started the day off well. I slept in, woke up and had some breakie, and watched an episode of Sex and the City. I got all my stuff together and headed into Delta. The pleasant drive was interrupted with a phone call from Elise telling me that our friend wasn't ready to go and he would meet us there... If he didn't show up I was ready to kill him.
So, I got to Elise's and it was a madhouse. She was freaking out, trying to print out a logo to put on her shirt, do her hair and makeup, and pack for the night. I decided that it was time to make us a drink.
We finally got all packed into the car and headed to the curling rink, or as I like to call it, the curling alley. To aleviate Elise's bitchy mood I pulled out the "Sweet Pea" card I had made her. She "hearted" it.
We got to the "alley," got ready, and started to curl. It was a little disorganized, yet fun. The best part was when Elise was taking a picture of the rock she had thrown almost onto the button... and went ass over teakettle onto the ice, where a rock hit another rock, sending it into her side. I kinda felt bad but I pretty much laughed my ass off.

After two hours of curling, sufficiently cold and buzzed, we left curling to start our St. Patricks night.

By the way, check out the names on these rocks... priceless.

Craft Master D
I am crafty! Not just in the sly & foxy way, but in the make my own cards and scrapbooks way. I have scrapbooked since Grade 12, but ever since I dropped $275 at my co-worker's "Stampin' Up" party a few weeks ago I have been going card crazy! Here are a few examples:

Not bad eh? I have one thing to say... Crafts are Cool!

Whites Only
The Saturday before my friends and I had met the Bacardi rep who gave us tickets, and my friend's boyfriend was emceeing the event, so even though it was a "school night" we decided to make the trek out.

We showed up in our white gear, including our super cute white lilles in our hair (I even painted my toenails white) and were greeted by a huge crowd at the front door. A few minutes later we talked our way in, grabbed some glowstick bracelets and got in line for a free drink.
Everyone looked smashing in white and there were a lot of cute guys there too! We spent the night drinking (uhhh sooo much rum,) dancing, and flirting.
At the end of the night I went to say bye to the fella who had given us the passes. I remember telling him that he was smart and that was a turn-on, but that I thought he was a player. He told me that: a) he's not a player, and b) he doesn't want a girlfriend in any way, shape or form. Whoa buddy! Who said anything about being your girlfriend!
