My Top 10 Fav Songs- October 2009
1. Bethany Dillon- I Am Yours
I love this song! To hear how much she has grown as a artist is amazing. The song is something that we need to remind ourselves. We are not our own. We were brought with a price and belong to God. In our everyday life we have to show that; we are representatives for the Most High.
2. Ayiesha Woods- Happy
This is a wonderful feel good song. I love it! The Lord makes us happy and we should make sure our lives are in line with His word to bring joy to Him.
3. Damita Haddon- No Looking Back
This is my anthem for my quarterlife. I leave my past in the past. I move forward and there’s no turning back and no looking back. When we start to look forward and stop looking back we move at a quicker pace into the role God has given us. The time we waste looking back and comparing or past mistakes should be spent on looking forward and thanking God for His goodness.
4. Michael Gungor- Wrap Me In Your Arms
I had the pleasure of hearing this song while I was at Elevate for worship. It is such an intimate, beautiful song. To hear it in the acoustic version is even more amazing. To ask the Lord to take you to that secret place where it’s just you and Him; in His arms fellowshipping and worshipping Him is something that you can only ask if you really want to know Him. This song blows my mind every time I hear it.
5. Shane & Shane- Everything is Different
I love Shane & Shane; I fell in love with them when I first heard “Yearn”. They have a new album (one of which I am very excited to get) and this is the first song off their album. Maybe because I am about to enter a new chapter in my life that I am gravitating towards songs that speak of it but I love this song. Everything is different and will be different for me; I speak it and I receive it, lol.
6. Room for Two- Roots Before Branches
Room for Two is a new duo that has been placed in my radar. The song can speak to anyone. You have to have roots and place or something of substance to be rooted or planted into before you can grow and begin to do what you want to do. A lot of people fail to realize that we have to be equipped before we can be called. This song speaks about that situation. Patience is a virtue.
7. Phillip LaRue- Found
Phillip LaRue from the duo LaRue has been recording solo for awhile. This song is another love song (sorry, didn’t mean to like it). I like it because I want to get to that point: that I am so lost in God’s love that I don’t ever want to be found or find my way out. So quickly we taste a bit of God’s goodness than we run the other way. God wants us to know that small taste is just merely the beginning.
8. Britt Nicole- The Lost Get Found
Britt Nicole is quickly becoming one of my favs. That is saying a lot because I am a very picky girl that likes to rock out only. The song is an eye opener. It lets us know that our light isn’t for us but it’s so those who are lost and don’t know the Lord can come to Him. You know the Bible verse: “Let your light shine before men…” Matt. 5:16. We have to show God in us 24/7 because that one time we don’t could be the one time someone is seeking Him.
9. Unfailing Love (Kelly’s Song)- Jimmy Needham
I absolutely melted when I heard this song. It spoke to the romantic in me (the one that swoons when she gets to the part of Captain Wentworth’s letter in Persuasion). It’s such a beautiful love song that not only speaks about the love between two people but the love of God and His plan for the two people. It’s a beautiful and sigh worthy song. You will get dreamy eyes while listening.
10. Switchfoot- Mess of Me
It’s Switchfoot! I don’t have to explain why they are on my favs, lol. Really, I like this song because it’s an honest song. To admit you’re a mess and you can’t fix yourself takes a lot to admit; believe me I know. To top it off Jon Foreman’s voice (insert sigh here, lol) and the amazing band that is Switchfoot= amazing!

Measured and Found Lacking....
This month was our 32nd Church Convention (October 11th-18th, 2009). The theme was: “Stir Up the Gifts that is Within You” from 2 Timothy 1:6. It was an awesome week! The week before was praying and then I had to prepare our church newsletter/magazine called “Endeavor” for it. I have been so busy with it that I barely had any sleep.
My birthday dinner is at the Riverview in Long Island City, Queens. The guest list started out at 30 but now might be around 17-20. I would like for it to be an intimate affair but we’ll see. While I’m on the topic of the birthday dinner, a certain someone maybe a no show. But the dinner isn’t for him, it’s for me. You don’t turn 25 everyday.
My dress!!!!!! Where do I begin? I didn’t get in contact with my dress maker so I will have to buy a dress; the problem is that I don’t see any dresses that I like! Oh woe is me! I did see this awesome dress at H&M but we’ll see.
Dance- I am so humble and blessed that the Lord has allowed me to lead the Dance Ministry at my church. The vision has grown and I will be supervising 3 dance ministries. God is so good! I went to a Praise Dance Seminar today and was so blessed! I am so excited for the next chapter.
My relationship- My relationship with God is showing me that I could be sooo much further but I am holding myself back. I have found lacking and it’s time to get to work. I realize that we as Christians are always silent while other groups shout their beliefs and lifestyles from the hilltops; it’s time to stand unashamed!
There are areas that I am lacking in but I learned in my weakness His strength is shown.
My 25th Year a.k.a My Quarterlife- I am determined to end ties, and severe things in my life that are not of God and hinder my growth. It’s time to stand and stand for all to see. I have to make sure my lifestyle echos my words. It’s a new season; there’s no turning back. Also, I am back in Bible School! I started General Bible Survey 1. It’s a lot of work!
I hope that you guys have been blessed; I apologize for such a gap in my blogging. There has been so much on my plate lately. Be blessed.

Cruise Day 2

Later that night he made out with a nasty girl from Quebec with big hair who was crazy drunk and all over both him and his brother. I couldn't really blame him. Most guys will kiss a girl that's throwing herself all over them.

Alaskan Cruise - Day Uno

That night I got LIQUORED. Starting at dinner with wine, then continuing with my good friend Vodka. I hit up the show and then the casino with the parentals. I was ripping shit up at the 3-card poker table. I think I won like 60 bucks. That's a lot for me! Usually I lose $20 while gambling and am like "Screw this!"

Grrr GAGA
Thinking that tickets go on sale this Saturday I decided to check out the Ticketmaster website to see how much they are.
I searched for the show, and it took me to the area to purchase tickets. To my surprise tickets were already on sale! I put in my info, got some tickets and went to purchase them, only to see that when I went to enter the info for my VISA they were only taking American Express. This was a surprise to me, as I've purchased countless other tickets before with it.
I called the Ticketmaster number and found out that tickets were only on sale at this point for American Express cardholders.
At this point I'm pissed. Fine, they have some sort of presale privileges, but they shouldn't let someone get 3/4 through buying tickets before discovering this. They should have a note that says this before you can order tickets, or you should have to enter a presale code like normal to even get to that point.
Not happy!
Wendy's Wedding
The ceremony was in Port Moody and I thought I was going to be late. I booked it there and it was ok because all my other girlfriends were late too. The ceremony was a little long, including the entire family going up to take puctures, but at least it was in English for the most part. We also got little appies in the lobby there and cute little pics that the bride and groom had taken in Hong Kong.
After that we headed to Milestones for some brunch. I heart Milestone's brunch. Breakfast burrito mmmm. Drinking in the afternoon mmmm mmmm. I had a bit of a buzz on. It was nice.
The reception was at Kirin seafood restaurant. And boy, was it an eye opener. Upon seeing the menu I was like "this is going to be INTERESTING." The husband of one of the ladies even went over to Quiznos since he didn't like seafood. There were things like abalone, shark fin soup, suckling pig, and endless other weird concoctions that I can't remember at this point.
The wedding favours were really cute. There were either a Chinese bride and groom cartoon keychain set, or a bride and groom as little piggies baby spoon set. A-DOR-A-BLE.
I got this pic from Google, but we had a lot of these courses. We had the top left to start, which included some yummy pork and some octopus or squid or something. We also had the one on the right of that which was really good... crab meat wrapped around a crab claw and deep fried. We had the noodles on the bottom left too which were good, and the shark fin soup, third from the right at the top.
The wedding was also different, because the bride changed outfits probably four times, and we played shower-type games at the wedding. In one all the single ladies had to hold out our hands to see if the groom could guess whose hand was his brides. He guessed wrong. In another game I won a prize... a set of little heart shaped sugar bowls.
The wedding stopped right after dinner though. No dancing, no nothing. That was kinda disappointing. I like to get my groove on at a wedding. So I went home and went to bed.
I Am SO Proud of Myself!

almost halloween
halloween, the one day that i can be as creepy as i want and not get ridiculed for it.
now i really don't have anything planed this year, but i really want an Alice costume from Alice in Wonderland. the reason is because i kind of want a maid costume, and Alice costume is baicly one but in light blue color.
Costumes are expensive and i don't want to juast use it for one halloween, so if i do end up getting this type of costume i'll probably do photoshoots with it and add to my gallery on deviantart.com. :)
Patience is a Virtue ...
- And I have little of it it seems. I THOUGHT I could wait until my blog cuteness makeover to post again, but apparently I have too much to say ;0) SO here I go again. This past weekend we had a house-full of OU fans. Sorry UT fans but Baylor (and sometimes A&M b/c we have some die-hard fan friends) is the only Texas team I really care about winning. Even if they don't. Ever. The Steeves brought their precious Noah who was really fun to see with Koda. Every time Koda would kiss him on the face he'd turn around in the same movement and smack him in the head with his tail. And every time Noah would say "Owwwwuch Koda!". Too cute.
- Saturday I ran my 5 miles. Something I do everytime I run is I plug in my headphones so I can actually hear the TV station I've tuned into, but for some reason I can't stop reading the closed captioning? The whole point of headphones is so you DON'T have to read the captions, Kate. So, while reading the captions the McDonalds commercial comes on and at the end comes the Closed Captioning translation of the jingle which, happens to be, "ba da ba ba ba" ... "ba da ba ba ba"? The poor hearing impaired have got to read this and think "what the ... ?" "ba da ba ba ba?" "Why are there babbling babies on McDonald's commercials?" or "What do sheep have to do with McDonald's hamburgers? Are they making veal-burgers now? Why are they baaa'ing about it?" This usually ends up with me giggling on the treadmill which in turn makes me look ... crazy. Oh good, something new. Not so much. Thankfully I live in my own little world where I amuse myself constantly and not as many people as I think actually realize it.
Saturday night the hubs and I had a date night which was much needed since he left Sunday night for Orlando and won't be home until Thursday. Which, by the way, how fair is it that he's going to ORLANDO for WORK (I know the work part's not fun, but ORLANDO!?!?)??? I mean really. That is my idea of Heaven on Earth. DISNEY WORLD?!?! I literally cry upon entering (ask my roommates and/or husband) He's THAT close to Disney World and A: I'm not there to go with him, B: He's not going (which he's smart because I warned him if he got to enjoy the happiest place on Earth when I was at home at the normalest place on Earth I would NOT be the happiest WIFE on Earth ...) So, hopefully he'll bring me home a little trinket of Disney memorabilia. PS - he's staying at a hotel that is Sea World themed. There is a Shamu rubber ducky in the bathroom! I heart Orlando.
- Last (because this is getting FAR too lengthy) we went to pick up our new coffee table. And by new I mean new to us, but old. It was my great grandma Pickering's Campaign Trunk. It's the coolest thing ever and I love that it's old, and vintage-esque. It looks great in our living room and, since I have no pictures to show you from the weekend (I know, shocker right?) I will leave you pictures of the new/old coffee table and Shamu rubber ducky since they are both on my iPhone. Have a fantastic week friends. I would say that this will be my last post for awhile, but like I said patience is a virtue ... and I'm currently working on my virtuosity ... so I'll probably be posting again tomorrow if not Wednesday. Farewell from the Fulmer Lane.

Update
so lately, i've actually been updating my dailybooth a lot. what is it? well it's like twitter, but with unlimited amounts of words you can type, and a picture. the main focus is on the picture of course. it's a perfect site for stalkers like me who loves looking at pictures of other people :) don't judge me!
ahaha i know they're random pictures, but they each have a special description that help you understand it.
For some reason, yesterday i decided to check out neopets. it's always interesting to see changes to a web site over the year. neopets seemed to got sold to nickelodeon. it has changed a lot! most maps are now flash, brand new pets and games. it's crazy! back in the day, when i played neopets, the maps were only pictures, the games were crappy, and neopets was just an excuse to satisfy my lonely life.

well, i tried out for the robotics club and news paper team at my school. and they both rejected me due to the fact that i'm a senior. THAT! was the ONLY reason. i can't believe what the world has turned into, discrimination against old people? and it's not that i'm 60 years old or anything, the photographer they picked over me was 2 grades younger! that's not much. of course i was furious when i asked for the reason, but i can't do anything about it. their excuse was, i'll be graduating this year, so might as well let someone younger, more new take your spot so they'll be experienced when they're seniors. can you say bullshit?
but other than those 2 clubs, i've also joined the ping pong club (yes how Asian of me), the choir (though i only went once and missed all the other times for other clubs), Horizons (where i chill with the fobs and help them with socializing and learn better english), and the science investigators (where we do cool experiments like the "hydrogen" bomb). the bad thing about them is, they're on on Thursdays after school, so i have to pick between them. my favorite is Horizons so far, because all you do is socialize.
i'm also in the Environmental club, and we're thinking of making some videos to help our school notice how dirty it is around Thursday lunch time and bring more dearness. i might upload it to my youtube channel so be on the look out for that and subscribe! Also, i'm thinking of joining the anime and chess club. i know i'm very nerdy and asian :)
so i'm still looking for suitable scholarships to help my tuition next year. PEOPLE i'm in a financial need! PLEASE give me your email so i can send you an invite to lockerz and subscribe to my youtube channel. i want to become a partner so i can get some dough!
thanks,
LILY

How have you been?
So i know my mic really sucked... and at the end i started going all off tune. It was because i wanted to the effect that i was crying while singing it, i wanted emotion. But i guess it didn't work out that way. i'm way too lazy to go back and fix it, so i think i'll just leave it like that for now.
take a listen! :)
Download it :D
